Few Notables:
N.Ramsier – Beast of a prop, way ahead of his time, anyone who turns up in a pair of Alan Ball white football boots and a fresh perm is ok by me
T.David – Never took a backward step,
R.Elliot – In a 2s game against Reading they refused to come out for the second half because of Richard, never seen enthusiasm like it
A.Morgan – Gladiator, to this day still put in the hardest tackle I have ever witnessed on a pitch Salisbury in the 1984 cup semi final
C.Sharpe – without doubt best Captain I ever had the pleasure to play with
G.Krauss – some things just don’t need explaining total quality, Weymouth away, line out last minute on the half way line 3 points down, 4 ball and Krauss dropped a goal had I not been there
R.Walker – only played against him once when he was in his late 50’s absolute silk
E.Goodwin, A.Brown – Differing styles Eric possibly the quickest straight line runner the club has seen, Tony Brown a robust winger with pace again ahead of his time, great finish in the cup final.
D.Oliver – Dominant on the pitch and in the Bar, proper crash tackler, Richmond 2s away the guy is still screaming now
D.Hockings – Formidable half back pairing with Krauss, howitzer off each foot, best controller of a game
Plenty more names would arguably make this starting 15
