Wimborne RFC 1st team fly-half, Tom Moysey, will celebrate his 100th cap for the club this weekend in their ‘top of the table’ clash with Old Tiffinians. The Moysey family are a name synonymous with Wimborne RFC with dad Michael the current president and big brother Matt formerly first team manager and scrum-half.

This Saturday marks a milestone in Tom’s Wimborne career, having represented the Club from the age of 6! His rugby developed further at Cardiff University before he spent some time playing and coaching in Australia, New Zealand and Belgium.

He returned to Leigh Park as player/coach and presided over a very successful period, culminating in Wimborne’s promotion to Level 6 in the 2023/24 season.

Following a year-long sabbatical to spend more time with partner Fiona and their two girls, Tom has made a welcome return to the playing ranks of ‘the Badgers’ this season.

“I’m incredibly proud to have represented Wimborne Rugby Club 100 times. Reaching this milestone means a lot to me and I am really looking forward to seeing what the rest of this season brings”, said Tom.

Coach, Kyle Jess, added, “Tom is an exceptional rugby player. He brings a wealth of experience to our squad and it is testament to his physical resilience that he has reached 100 caps. It will be wonderful to see him celebrate the occasion with his family and friends this weekend”.
